American Innovations offers several video
processors to complement their wide array of covert surviellance cameras.
Such processors come fall into the following general categories:
Switchers - These are the most basic
of the three types; They enable the user to switch between several
camera inputs, displaying only one at a time.
Quad Compressors - 'Quads' take for
video inputs and compress their signals into one video output. This
can be recorded onto a VCR and later viewed. Note that these are 'WYSIWYG',
or "What You See Is What You Get'. In other words, a quad will
output to tape whatever is being displayed on the monitor, exactly
as it is displayed on the monitor.
Multiplexers - Duplex multiplexers
enable you to record each camera in 'full screen' mode onto the tape,
and then play back the feed from each camera the same way. Triplex
multiplexers allow you the extra benefit of being able to record 'full
screen' for all cameras while watching in different modes, such as
viewing one particular camera, or watching all cameras at once.

Elmo offers two 4-input quad processors, one for
color,and one for black & white cameras. Both feature 12V DC power and
RS-232 remote control.
The ChromaQuad-4 color quad video processor
delivers very high, 1024x512 resolution in real time. It features On-Screen
display, S-VHS VCR input and output, real time refresh and full alarm operations.
This model also includes a flicker filter and independent picture adjustment.
The MonoQuad-4 is a full function, high
resolution (1024x512), real time, 4-input, black and white quad processor.It
features Real-Time refresh, full alarm operations. It also has On-screen
time,title and setup menu.

Elmo's high performance multiplexer combines 16
cameras into a viewable matrix, and provides the highest resolution available
today, an industry leading 910 x 512 NTSC. This
multiplexer offers full duplex and full alarm operations.
Other features include bounce-free sequencing, auto VCR speed, and activity
detection. A Multi-screen display format, as well as auto and user adjustable
VCR sync, when combined with the built-in 2X zoom, offer an easy to use
experience.
The unit operates on 12 Volts DC, has an S-VHS terminal, RS-232 port, as
well as several on-screen Time, Date, Title, and setup menu.
